At Hudson Valley Lighting, we couldn’t agree more. More than mere backdrop, light animates each moment of our lives. We believe that a decorative lighting fixture allows the “original phenomena” to discover its most enthralling potential when it is designed to enhance the warmth and comfort of home, while simultaneously serving as a focal point of style and self-expression.
Hubbardton Forge employs more than 220 people in Vermont and is one of the country’s oldest and largest commercial forges operating today. It all started with two guys, an old barn, and some borrowed tools. They had big ideas and a passion for design, respect for high-quality craftsmanship and a belief in the importance of tradition. Our company and our product line have grown over the years, and we continue to tell a story of Vermont through and through. For more than 40 years, Hubbardton Forge artisans have handcrafted each product, one at a time, right here in Vermont.

If the past 90 years are any indication, it is with great pride and excitement that we set our sights on the horizon and extend our commitment to keeping your ‘Life Aglow.’

Fourteenth Colony Lighting offers traditionally handcrafted lanterns and chandeliers in a variety of historic and contemporary styles. Our light fixtures are entirely hand made by the tinsmiths and blacksmiths who train and work in our shop. No structural component in or on any of our lights is imported. We are one of the last lighting manufacturers to actually employ traditional metalsmithing techniques in our fabrication process from start to finish. This commitment to craft results in copper, brass, and forged steel lighting fixtures that are of the best possible structural and aesthetic integrity and the finest to be found in the lighting industry today. Whether you need a hall lantern for an estate property or simply a post lamp for a small bungalow, we have a fixture to meet your needs.

House of Troy was founded in 1947 by Everett Bailey in Montreal, Canada. Mr. Bailey, operated a small custom lamp manufacturing company selling to gift and department stores in the Montreal area. His son, Norm, took over the business in 1960, and began specializing in picture lights. He moved the business to Troy, Vermont in 1962. Hence the name House of Troy.
The hand-craftsmanship involved in building House of Troy picture lights has changed little over the past seventy years. Each light is hand rolled, soldered, buffed and assembled by our employees in Vermont. Each employee checks the quality to insure that only the finest lights are shipped to our valued customers throughout the world.
